Everything in Carrell, from your terminal.

The carrell command does what the apps do. Read and search the Bible, highlight verses and write notes, keep sermons, photos and notes in your library, and ask questions that cite their sources.

It signs in with your Carrell account and works on the same library as your iPhone and Mac, so a verse you highlight in the terminal shows in the margin on your phone.

Install

carrell login

carrell login opens your browser to sign in to your Carrell account. Over SSH, open the address on any device and paste back the address the browser ends on.
Reading, search, highlights and notes work offline. When you’re signed in, each command syncs your library first.
Every list takes --json, so you can pipe your notes, highlights and sermon transcripts into your own scripts.

Commands

`read`, `compare`, `search`	A passage with your marks, one verse in every translation, and full-text search of the whole Bible in about a millisecond.
`highlight`, `note`, `bookmark`	Mark verses in six colors, write notes and bookmark them. `marks` and `notes` list them.
`library`	Your sermons, photos and notes: list them, show a transcript, search them, keep a note about a passage.
`photo`, `record`	Add photos of handwritten notes and slides, check the text Carrell reads from them, and record a sermon.
`ask`, `chats`	Ask about a passage or a sermon, carry on a conversation from Recents, and keep an answer in your library.
`export`, `import-app`	Export your study to Markdown or JSON, and bring highlights in from YouVersion, Logos and other apps.
`account`, `upgrade`	Your plan and what’s left of it, Pro in the browser, settings, and feedback.
